A space to slow down, make sense of things,
and find your way back to yourself.

I'm Damini — a psychotherapist with eight years of experience working with adults, couples, and families. I hold an MA in Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (2018), and I bring a deep curiosity about what shapes people: their histories, their relationships, and the environments they've moved through. My practice draws on Narrative therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), alongside a trauma-informed way of working.
I'm based in Bangalore and work with clients in person there, as well as online with people across India and internationally. Therapy, for me, isn't about fixing — it's about understanding. Our struggles rarely exist in isolation. They're tied to who we've loved, what we've survived, and the places we've grown up in. I try to hold all of that with care.
Outside the therapy room, you'll usually find me with more books than I can finish, stopping to say hello to street animals, or somewhere in the mountains on a slow walk. These are the things that keep me grounded — and I think that groundedness shows up in how I work.
My work is trauma-informed at its core — which means we move at a pace that honours your nervous system, not one that pushes past it. There is no pressure to revisit anything before you're ready. What matters most is that you feel safe, heard, and never judged.
I think of therapy as a collaborative process. We work together to understand your patterns, notice what triggers certain responses, and build tools that support you in everyday life. I also recognise that your struggles don't exist in a vacuum: they've been shaped by your relationships, your family, your culture, and your lived history.
Where it feels helpful, I may bring in simple body-based practices to support emotional awareness and regulation — because healing isn't only intellectual. It lives in the body too.
Safety, choice, and pacing are built into everything. We never move faster than what feels right for you.
You are the expert on your own life. I bring knowledge, reflection, and tools — you bring the direction.
Your history with others shapes how you move through the world. We explore that with curiosity, not judgment.
Alongside talk therapy, I bring in gentle body-based practices to support regulation and awareness.
Therapy rarely fits neatly into one box. Below are some of the areas I commonly work in — though your experience may span several, or none of these labels perfectly.
One-to-one sessions for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life changes, relationships, or simply the weight of being human.
Exploring relationship patterns, communication, and attachment — whether you're in a partnership or reflecting on past relationships.
Working with families to improve communication, navigate conflict, and understand the dynamics shaping how you relate to one another.
Sessions via Google Meet, available across India and internationally. The same care, wherever you are.
A limited number of in-person slots are available in Bangalore. Hybrid arrangements — alternating between online and in-person — are also possible.
Psychoeducation and mental health workshops for workplace settings, covering topics like stress, resilience, and emotional well-being.
A short initial call to meet, ask questions, and see whether we might be a good fit — before any commitment.
Book Now"When I first came to therapy, I felt broken and hopeless after a painful breakup. Damini helped me make sense of what I was going through, taught me about my attachment style, and showed me how to care for and love myself again." "When I first came to therapy, I felt broken and hopeless after a painful breakup. I honestly couldn't see a way forward. Damini helped me make sense of what I was going through, taught me about my attachment style, and showed me how to care for and love myself again. We've also been working through childhood trauma, and she's always been kind, compassionate, and never judgmental. At the very start, she shared something that stuck with me: she's like the trolley that helps you carry your luggage, but doesn't carry it for you. That image has stayed with me all along. With every bit of progress, I notice more light and love in the world, and I feel more connected to myself. I'm so grateful for Damini and the safe space she creates. She truly is amazing at what she does."Female, 26–35
"Honestly it was very helpful — it literally changed my life for the better."Male, 26–35
"I have been working with Damini for almost 6 months now and it has been incredible working with her. I started re-doing therapy after a long break. Damini took some time to know me better and then recommended how to deal with my problems well. I would definitely recommend working with her!"Male, 26–35
"Therapy is quite a daunting experience because of the intense conversations had about myself. But after my initial sessions with Damini, therapy was something that I looked forward to every week. It felt like I have this coach just for my feelings." "Therapy is quite a daunting experience because of the intense conversations had about myself. It's like you are being forced to dive deep into yourself and re-surface your thoughts. It was painful, to say the least. But unclogging drains is a difficult and time-taking process, especially when you have never done it before. But after my initial sessions with Damini, therapy was something that I looked forward to every week. It felt like I have this coach just for my feelings who would sit in front of me and who would talk about my life and thoughts like it was a high-stakes project. It is refreshing and calming to have time for yourself like that because in today's day and age, nobody has the time to listen to you. You may have a partner or a friend who may lend a sympathetic ear but they do not have the capacity to give you new perspectives every single time; and even if they do, it would be extremely unfair to them and would add a lot of pressure on your relationship. As our sessions became more regular, I could feel an enormous weight being lifted off of my shoulders. I felt completely free, like I could glide through my life. My relationship with my partner thrived, my work seemed relaxed even though there was a lot of pressure, and most importantly my sleep schedule improved because of the relief that I felt from the feeling of being heard. After I become a regular on Damini's calendar, I realized that our feelings, emotions and thoughts are extremely complex and is almost like a science to understand them. Therefore, only a professional like Damini can help you do it. Finally, I would say to everyone - GO FOR THERAPY."Male, 26–35
Yes — sessions are available online via Google Meet, for clients across India and internationally.
Yes, though in-person slots in Bangalore are limited. I'm more available for hybrid arrangements — alternating between online and in-person sessions based on what works for you.
It's a brief 15-minute conversation — a chance for us to meet, for you to ask questions, and to get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. There's no commitment involved.
That's a real possibility, and I understand it. I typically work with clients over the longer term and ask for at least six sessions before we assess the fit together. After that initial period, I do a short check-in every tenth session to make sure we're still on track and working in a direction that feels right for you.
Via UPI or bank transfer. Payment is taken in advance to confirm your session booking.
Fees are shared on enquiry. Fees are reviewed once a year in January — I always discuss any changes with clients in advance. Sliding-scale slots are occasionally available for those who need them, subject to availability.
